Loving is based on the true story of the interracial couple that helped overturn Virginia’s miscegenation laws. Their case eventually made it all the way to the Supreme Court. However, the movie concentrates more on the couple in question and how the law and the trial affected their lives. Though the movie tries to be a love story, at times it comes across too much as an “issues” film. Good, but not great.
