Favorite TV Shows of 2013

Continuing my favorite things series, these are my favorite shows of 2013.

Archer
This show keeps getting more ridiculous and the running jokes keep getting longer and

longer. But it’s still one of the most hilarious shows on TV.

Game of Thrones
I finally caught up with this show. It really captures what makes the books appealing –

the gritty fantasy mixed with realism. It doesn’t tone down anything for TV or

make anything more generic either.

Key & Peele
Still the best sketch show on TV.

South Park
Sometime last decade, South Park surpassed both the Simpsons and the Daily Show

as the most incisive satire of modern America.And amazingly it’s as sharp and as

funny as ever after all these years.

Suburgatory
Probably, my favorite favorite show on TV nowadays. It’s an amazing mix of drama,

broad comedy, and suburban commentary. It feels a lot like an updated Daria, and

I mean that in the best way possible.

Favorite New Show – Brooklyn Nine-Nine
This is totally subjective but this is the funniest new sitcom on TV. Maybe its because

the majority of the actors are comedians. Or it might be because Andre Braugher’s

incredibly dry take on the Police Captain. He’s the perfect straight man to all the

ridiculousness going on around him.

Some New Shows that are Good but not Great – Almost Human, the Pete Holmes Show, Super Fun Night
