Nearly every week in August saw a big release on Wii. Unfortunately, it seemed each week was allotted only one triple-A title. Out of the handful of good games that came out in August, one stood out above the rest.
Game of the Month
Metroid Prime Trilogy
Publisher: Nintendo
Rating: Teen for Animated Blood, Violence
Genre: Action, Adventure
This disc combines all three Metroid Prime games into one package. While they all have been previously released, each game is a classic. Even though Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes were GameCube games, their visuals still hold up well today. The Wii pointer controls for each game are some of the best on the system. The games have a satisfying sense of exploration that rivals the Legend of Zelda series. The series game play is great mish-mash of shooter, adventure, and puzzle elements. At a fifty dollar price point, this is a very affordable way to get three of the Nintendo’s best games.
