2008 was a great year for the Xbox 360. Game developers have really gotten a handle on the 360 hardware. The majority of top-tier games look great and more emphasis is being put on refining game play and controls. 2008 saw the release of many high profile games such as Grand Theft Auto IV, Fallout 3 and Fable 2. The 360 lineup was so strong in 2008 that those games did not even make my list.
While I believe that games can be art, and that story and thematic elements can make games great; it ultimately comes down to pure enjoyment for me. This list is reflective of the most enjoyable times I had playing my 360 in 2008. While none of these games would be considered high art, you could not have had a better time on your 360 in 2008 then with these five games.
