2. Devil May Cry 4
There are a lot of criticisms of this game. “It’s no different from its predecessors.” “You fight the same boss over and over again.” None of that means anything. Devil May Cry 4 is a 3-D action game with an emphasis on action. The game looks amazing and plays fluidly. After just a few minutes with the game you will able to string together sick combos. As you take on hordes of zombies you look and feel cool while doing it.
So many games show your character doing an awesome move in a cinema. In Devil May Cry 4 you can actually do those moves. You duck a demon’s attack, grab him with your devil bringer, hit him up in the air with your sword, and then follow him up in the air hitting him over and over. Then as he falls to earth you finish him off with your pistol. It is quite simply the most satisfying combat in an action game I have ever played.
It is true that you face many of the bosses multiple times. But like in most games, the boss fights are the highlights. They are epic and exhilarating. Some may see that as punishment, but I see that as a reward. Devil May Cry 4 is easily the best 3-D action game I ever played.
