3. Mario Kart Wii
Mario Kart Wii is, in many ways, just an expansion of the Mario Kart series. But it is quite an expansion. Three different controller types supported, online play, more items, more tracks and racers, and new Mario Kart Channel challenges. Half of the tracks in the game are throwback tracks to previous Mario Karts, and that is not a bad thing. Those tracks are still as fun as they ever were.
The core game play of the series remains unchanged. The kart racing is still fast and chaotic. Depending on your point of view, the items make the game too balanced or too unbalanced. But the racing is still accessible to both hardcore players and non-gamers alike.
The game also boasts the best online support for Wii, bar-none. The game runs smoothly on Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and finding a match is always easy. And those Mario Kart Channel challenges will keep you coming back for more.
