2. Okami

This game is quite simply, beautiful. Even though it is a port of a 2 year old Ps2 game its’ Japanese watercolor look still looks incredible. It is one of the few games were just looking around the world can be enjoyable.

The game play is not shabby either. It is an action-adventure game that sticks closely to the Zelda formula. Also like Zelda it tells a deep, epic story.

But what sets Okami apart from other Zelda clones is the richness of detail. The game is full of places, enemies, friends, and other characters. Even the most minor of characters has their own story to tell and a distinctive personality. And each place has years of history behind it. It is this kind of specificity that elevates the storytelling.
