Videogames: Giant Bombcast url
I don’t play videogames anymore but I still listen to this podcast. It’s still entertaining and hilarious. It will never be the same since the loss of Ryan Davis, but it’s still easily the best Gaming Podcast.
Movies: the Flophouse url
There are a surprising number of podcasts about bad movies, but this is by far the best one. Unlike other bad movie shows you don’t have to have seen the flick they’re talking about to understand why it’s bad. They tell you, which is something a lot of the other ones don’t for some reason. And they have fun while they’re doing it.
Best Interview Podcast : tie Girl on Guy with Aisha Tyler url and the Nerdist url
These long, in-depth, free form interview shows draw things out of people that more traditional interview formats do not. These shows provide some great insight into artists and what makes them tick .
Best Pop Culture Podcast – The Cracked Podcast url
Just like Cracked.com, the Cracked Podcast digs into deep into the hidden meaning behind Pop Culture. They go in deep covering general trends rather than trying to keep up with the latest releases. It ends up being more interesting and having a longer shelf life than the other Pop Culture podcasts.
Best Tech Podcast – This is Only a Test url
Of all the tech podcasts I fall asleep to, this is the only one that’s interesting when I’m awake as well. I think it’s because they’re smart enough to give each topic a few minutes and then move on, unlike some other tech shows that babble on and on about stuff I just don’t care about.
Best Fitness Podcast – The Jillian Michaels Show url
This is the only one I’ve ever listened to so I’m guessing it’s the best.
Best Sports Podcast – ESPN:PTI url
This is a cheat as it’s just an audio broadcast of a fully produced ESPN show. But it’s a really good fully produced ESPN show.
Best Comedy Podcast – the Adam Carolla Show url
Rants, celebrity interviews, silly games, and bizarre call-in stories – it’s the all the best things of a Morning Drive Radio show without any censoring. And with one of the best hosts.
New Podcast – James Bonding url
A in-depth breakdown of every single James Bond movie? This may only be capturing and keeping my attention so well since I had just had my own James Bond movie marathon. But the hosts really love James Bond and it shows (pun not intended).
