30 for 30: An Introduction

So, I’m turning 30 this year, and I thought it might be fun to have a movie marathon of my 30 favorite movies and blog about it.  These are my 30 favorite movies, not my 30 greatest movies. Of course I think they’re all pretty great. It’s pretty interesting, this is much different list than it would have been ten years ago, and I’m sure by the end of this year this may be a different list as well.

I’m going to create a blog post after I watch each movie. They’re not going to be reviews, it’s going to be more informal of why I liked the movie and maybe a few defenses of why some movies don’t get the credit I think they deserve.

If you’d like to follow along, please see the list below. The first two entries are going to be about Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back and Get Over It, because I just recently watched those two movies. A Christmas Story will likely be the last movie watched, and Spider-Man 2 will be watched before the Amazing Spider-Man comes out.  Raiders won’t be watched until the Blu-Ray finally comes out.

Anyway, here’s the list, and let me know what you think of the list and each blog post!

  2. Amelie
  3. Bring it On
